Review is an example of a complicated compilation. Its motto, printed in the upper left of the page, is “For the Unity of all Democratic Forces!” and the logo of the letter P imposed on a globe reads “Independent newspaper of the social library of the Moscow directorship of the “Posev” publishing house.” Beneath the masthead is an explanation that “this newspaper uses material from the overseas Russian journals and newspapers: Posev (Sowing), Grani (Borders), Kontinent (Continent), and Russkaia Mysl’ (Russian Thought).
