The motto of this paper, “Where there are profits, there are cares,” appears in both Latin and Russian, and obviously one of the urgent cares was figuring out what the paper was all about. In 1992 “business” suddenly appeared as a vast new world, and this page evokes a chaotic urge to make sense of everything. How many signs, icons, and symbols are present? Computer buttons indicate section titles; beginnings and endings of articles are not clear; typography grows and shrinks. The scribbled calculations in blue pen reveal the cares of the cartoon man trying to figure out how much tax to pay. But in general, business is all good.
